Abike Dabiri Slams N500m Suit On Diamond Bank


Former House of Representatives member Abike Dabiri-Erewa, who represented Ikorodu Federal Constituency between 2003 and 2015 Thursday slammed a N500 milion libel suit on Diamond Bank Plc for maliciously publishing her name as one of the bank’s debtors.

Nigerian Man Beats Mom To Death IN USA

 A Nigerian man living in the United States has been charged with murder after his mother was found dead at her Regency Park apartment in Texas USA.
Dr Hauwa Esther Kadima, 61, was found dead on July 28 after officers received a call from her son Daniel Basor Kadima, 31, alerting them of a person believed to be dead at her apartment.
Daniel called 911 about 9 a.m. July 28 and told dispatchers he was calling to report a death, according to the warrant, which was released Monday. When asked when he had last seen the deceased, he responded “yesterday,” police said.

Jonathan Prevented Shekau From Disrupting 2015 Elections, Says Dasuki.



Sambo Dasuki, former National Security Adviser (NSA), says Boko Haram sect might have disrupted the 2015 election were it not for efforts of the Goodluck Jonathan administration in equipping the armed forces.

Dasuki said the immediate past government procured adequate arms that assisted in recapturing more than 22 local governments seized by insurgents.

PDP, Senators Disagree Over Proposed N14.7 World Bank Loan For Edo


ABUJA- THE Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has urged the Senate and the House of Representatives to reject in its entirety, the proposed $75 million credit loan which amounts to N14.7 billion from the World Bank for Edo State, just as it warned that if granted, it would impoverish the state.

Speaking with Journalists yesterday in Abuja, Chairman, PDP, Edo State, Chief Dan Orbih who noted that this was not the time for what he termed endless borrowing against the backdrop that the state forms one of the most indebted states.

NCC Gives Telcos Ultimatum to Deactivate Pre-registered SIM Cards


The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has issued a seven-day ultimatum to Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) and other network providers to deactivate all pre-registered Subscribers Identification Module (SIM) cards or face sanctions.
The telecoms regulatory body gave the ultimatum after a high-level security meeting between the office of the National Security Adviser (NSA), Department of State Service (DSS), the network operators and the NCC in Abuja.

Lagos releases ₦11bn to pay pensioners

The Lagos State Government has released N11bn to pay off pension liabilities in arrears in the state since 2010 to date.  The Head of Service, Mrs. Folashade Jaji, on Wednesday in Alausa, Ikeja, said the state Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, had directed that the sum should be used to pay the pension liabilities of the Lagos State Government mainstream retirees and the retirees in local governments areas.

Extradition: AGF Objects to Ex-MINT Boss, Okoyomon's Request for Bail

Justice Valentine Ashi of the FCT High Court sitting in Apo on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 adjourned to August 12, 2015 for hearing on the preliminary objection raised by the Attorney General of the Federation, AGF, to the bail application brought by Emmanuel Ehidiamhem Okoyomon, former Managing Director of Nigerian Security Printing and Minting Company, NSPMC, whose extradition to United Kingdom, UK, has been ordered by a Federal High Court, Abuja.

A Reckless truck driver lost control while driving along Adah George street in Port Harcourt at the beginning of today, and smashed into a stationary Lexus SUV. Luckily no life was lost yet the auto was decimated. More photograph bellow.
