For acting as Puppet for foreign countries, Morsi bags life imprisonment, court confirms Death Sentence

Earlier on Tuesday, the court sentenced Morsi to life imprisonment for spying for outside intelligence services.

The Cairo Criminal Court on Tuesday maintained capital punishment for ex-president Mohammed Morsi over mass jailbreaks amid Egypt’s 2011 uprising.

Earlier on Tuesday, the court sentenced Morsi to life jail for supposedly spying for outside intelligence services. The decision was telecast by Egyptian state TV. The decision comes after the court counseled Egypt’s grand mufti, the administration mediator of Islamic law who plays an advisory part.

In May, Morsi and a number of his Muslim Brotherhood partners were accused of coordinating a 2011 jail break. The cases were transfered to the Grand Mufti, the nation’s top religious scholar for affirmation.

Earlier on Tuesday, Morsi got life imprisonment for purportedly spying for outside intelligence services. An attorney for one of the sentenced Muslim Brotherhood individuals said earlier in the day that plans were in progress to appeal Morsi’s capital punishment.

Morsi is presently serving a 20-year jail term for impelling the killing of protesters amid December 2012 uproars outside the Federal Palace in Cairo.   Across the country challenges in 2013 prompted a military upset and the ouster of Morsi, whose administration taking after the Arab Spring oust of past Egyptian leader, Hosni Mubarak, lasted from June 2012 to July 2013.
