The Delta Police Command has discovered a “baby-factory" in Asaba, the Delta state capital. Announcing the discovery today August 1st, the state police spokesperson DSP Celestina Kalu said while acting on a tip off, the police went in search of the factory, located it and arrested the owner as well as rescued eight pregnant girls.
“On July 30, 2015, Police detectives from GRA Division Asaba, while acting on a tip-off, raided a suspected baby factory opposite the Federal Radio Corporation, Asaba, and arrested its operator, Mr. John Ihezun. Detectives also arrested two boys, one Prince Chukwu and Obum Nwankwo, in the premises of the baby factory,” DSP Kalu said.
