Blackberry CEO John Chen Does Not Know How To Use The New Blackberry Priv

You know, when I told a friend about this new blackberry priv, his response was “blackberry had better stick to their OS or embrace Android completely” The reason according to him is that old-time Android users might have no problem adapting to the new phone but how about old-time BB users? Well, I think he was right as Chen himself unintentionally demonstrated, long time BlackBerry users might instead feel lost.

BlackBerry’s CEO John Chen in an exclusive interview with News Network gave a glimpse at a working BlackBerry Priv, the company’s first “true” Android smart phone. But in trying to demo the smart phone that “runs Google” as Chen calls it, He is visibly seen struggling to figure out how to actually use the device, as well as probably some hints of unresponsiveness with the touch screen. He was clearly lost as he hastily aborts an attempt to launch Chrome, with a flurry of taps and swipes leading nowhere.

After series of unsuccessful attempts to come up with something meaningful, he finally goes back to home screen where he considers opening another app before thinking better of it, opting instead to inform the interviewer that the new smartphone has “the latest specs, literally the latest Qualcomm specs, and the cameras and other good stuff.” The question now is, Is this really the smart phone that will bring back BB users who fled in exodus? I know that a BB running Android is a good thing but just because it is a BlackBerry Android smart phone doesn’t mean everyone will automatically fall in love with it. What Do You Think?
