MASSOB Dares Police

•Begins satellite monitoring
In defiance of the clampdown on its activities by security agents, the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has vowed to continue its activities unperturbed.
MASSOB Director of Information, Awka South, Paul Okoye made the pledge yesterday during a reception organised in honour of the former regional administrator of the group in Awka South, Chief Arinze Igbani, who was recently appointed zonal leader, Anambra South.
Okoye said in order to beat the security agents to their game, MASSOB had invented a secret satellite monitoring system, which it would use, to track the activities of its members and respond to any attack on them by the police and other security agencies.

Addressing MASSOB members, Igbani charged them not to fear oppression, harassment and killings by the security agents. He commended MASSOB leader, Chief Raph Uwazuruike for adopting the principle of non-violence, which he passed on to the members.  He insisted that members of the movement were disciplined people, who followed the directives of their leader.  He accused the security agents of indiscipline, saying they continued to detain MASSOB members against the provisions of the nation’s constitution.

He likened the security agents to the Biblical Egypt during the journey of the Israelites to the Promised Land and told the MASSOB members to remain steadfast because “the Egyptians they see today, they shall see no more”. He also advised those he called Saboteurs who betrayed MASSOB to repent because their days are numbered.
