It was a cool  and jovial atmosphere last Saturday, 8th of November when Karkafi hair marked its One Year Anniversary in its studio at Muri Okunola, Victoria Island Lagos.  The  stunning store was filled with top celebs as well as esteemed guest such as the likes of Kel, Lami Philips, Rukky Sanda,  Mnet’s Jumai Shabba as well as Miss Global Nigeria (MBGN)’s first runner-up, Gbemisola Shotade and many more all chatting, laughing, and nibbling on clouds of champagne, cakes and small chops. Celebrities and members of the society have joined a fresh movement tagged #iambroken an initiative of positive like minds coming together to produce answers to immediate problems facing the society The #iambroken campaign is a note of their state of mind of the African youths who’ve been disappointed by so many societal factors.

It is just a cry for change. The duo think that before a challenge is solved you should accept that there exists a problem in the very first place. The Lamboginny & Clayy project started with an enormous awareness campaign on Ebola virus disease at the Nanti Village of Snake Island, where they donated free hand sanitizers to every person in the village. Additionally they gave out scholarships to kids in Lagos. They’re also involved in investing in surgery for children whose parents can’t afford it. A Nigerian man, Abdullahi Hassan Ali, has accused an unidentified Nigerian soldier of allegedly killing and stealing from his friend, Mohammed (pictured above), who was kind enough to give the soldier a lift in his car. Ali claims the soldier killed his friend, threw his body out of the car and drove away in the car. Possibly a robber in a military uniform. The medical staff at a Polish Emergency ward were surprised when 40 year old Kamil Podwinski calmly walked to their medical centre with a 15inch piece of wood stuck through his head.

Based on New York Post, Mr Podwinski was renovating his home in Konin Poland when the freak accident happened. He reportedly told the nurses he was working when he slipped and fell face first onto a sharp peace of wood. The wood entered his face just under his eye socket and came  through the rear of his neck. And he survived. He actually took himself to the hospital.

At a medical facility, the staff had to call the fire service department because they’d never handled something like this before and were scared they could cause more injury wanting to remove the peace of wood out from his head. The fire service arrived a medical facility and helped the medical team remove the wood without causing further damage.

The incident has since been called magic as the person who had been calm during the ordeal, didn’t suffer serious injuries and is recovering in the hospital.

The Truth hurts! The issue of cheating on a loved one hurts

The issue of cheating on a loved one is at its peak, hurting people is just criminal and kills them slowly, this time of the year is usually what I call cheating time because, one we are in a season of showoff all you have accomplished for the year, be you married, single or what ever class you belong. The truth is that everyone must blame someone for the wrongs happening to them, but are we really looking at the right source? I would try and break it down as much as I can. The first gender I wanna tackle is the male gender, single and married.

Youtube sensation: Popular Twerk team, Betty Butt shot dead in Atlanta

Betty Butt, one of many members of the most popular Twerk team group, has died. The beautiful Youtube sensation who was famous for  her twerking skills was shot dead yesterday November 12th inside her apartment complex in Atlanta.

Based on police reports, Betty and her boyfriend were walking to her house when three men approached them and shot them both at point. The unnamed boyfriend survived but Betty died immediately from a weapon shot wound to the head. The Police are investing the murder.

2015 elections in Benue will be deadly unless the illegal arms in circulation are withdrawn- DSS

The Department of State Security (DSS) in Benue State has stated that the forthcoming elections in their state could be bloody unless the illegal arms in circulation are withdrawn.

Based on the DSS, the amount of firearms in circulation in the state that has had numerous farmer-herder clashes recently, is scary and is dangerous to the 2015 elections. Deputy Director of the Service, Frank Obi, who spoke during a meeting organized by the National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Makurdi, said they have to address the problem to ensure a peaceful election next year.

“Nobody is worried about retrieving them. The arms are mostly in the possession of youths and must be totally mopped up in-order for next year’s elections not to be turned into a battle field.” he said.

A trader at Alaba International Market Ojo, Lawrence Ikonne has been arrested for allegedly killing a consumer, Isa Yaya over the price tag on his secondhand air conditioner.


In accordance with reports, the incident happened at Ikonne’s house at Afromedia Estate, Okokomaiko, Lagos where Ikonne had invited Yaya. When they got to the house, both of them went into a room to bring out the air conditioning equipment, and they started haggling over the price. Yaya allegedly insisted on purchasing the air conditioning equipment below N5, 000- an amount which didn’t go well with Ikonne. It resulted into a battle and Ikonne allegedly hit Yaya with a plank leading to his death.


During interrogation, the suspect said:

“I had not met the young man before. I met him that morning at the Alaba market, and asked him to buy one of my appliances: an air conditioner. He actually looked like a cart pusher. When we got home, we both went in to remove the product, and we brought it outside for negotiation. As we continued, he said he would pay less than N5, 000. I replied that he should assist me to return it to where we took it from, but he refused. In the process, we started fighting. He even asked me to pay him for helping me bring it out. I was mad, and I hit his belly with a plank. When I realised he had fainted, I tied him with a rope and dragged him into a corner. I also fled the house.”

It was one of Ikonne’s co-tenants who noticed Yaya’s tied up corpse, raised an alarm, and reported the case to the Okokomaiko police station.

Nigerian Scientist, Ejikeme Patrick Nwosu converts Urine Into Fuel

So whenever someone tries to make use of urine as fuel (alot of individuals happen to be doing this), this gentle man will always receives a commission!! A NIGERIAN scientist has obtained a patent for his pioneer work in converting urine into flammable gases.   The breakthrough of Ejikeme Patrick Nwosu, 31-year-old, has raised the hope of the entire world in using urine to fix its energy crisis.

Nwosu got Patent No NG/P/20/2013/699 for developing a procedure for conversion of urine into hydrogen-ammonia rich flammable gases and fire resistant materials.

Nwosu, a graduate of Pure and Industrial Chemistry from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka (NAU), Anambra State with a Master of Science degree in Organic Chemistry from the University of Ibadan (UI), Oyo State, had claimed this technique could replace fossil fuel in the near future.

Also, Indian researchers are suffering from “The Urine Engine.” The research was published recently in OSR Journal Of Environmental Science, Toxicology And Food Technology by Yogendra G. Nandagaoli of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, and Rasika R. Kakade of the Department of E&TC, SGBAU, Amravati, India.

The Patent Certificate for Nwosu’s discovery with No 000698 granted for an amount of 20 years on October 13, 2014, and signed by the Registrar of Patents and Designs reads:

B'Haram has declared total war on Nigeria'- Senate President, David Mark

Nigerian Senate President David Mark says recent attacks by Boko Haram members is just a clear indication that the sect group has declared war on Nigeria. Mark said this at the senate’s plenary session yesterday.

“Clearly, Boko haram has declared war on this country and we must fight this war with all the resources at our disposal. There is no half measure in it. Its not a matter of state of emergency anymore, It is a total war and we must bring all our war resources to bare on Boko Haram” he said.

In a related development, the Senate committee on Defence has summoned the Security Chiefs in the security challenges being faced in the North. They’re expected to provide inventory of weaponry at their disposal once they appear

Local hunters kill over 70 Boko Haram insurgents, recapture Adamawa town

At least 75 Boko Haram militants were killed by local hunters in Maiha Local Government area of Adamawa State, residents of the area have said.

Maiha town, which is about 25 kilometers from Mubi town that was captured about two weeks ago, and about 200km from Yola the state capital, has now been recovered from the insurgents.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Aminu Tambuwal, who recently joined APC, has joined the 2015 presidential race. In accordance with reports, he found his presidential nomination and expression of interest forms earlier this Monday November 10th.  He joins former Head of State Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, former VP Atiku Abubakar, Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, and the Publisher of Leadership newspapers, Sam Nda-Isaiah, in the APC presidential race.
