9 killed in fresh Boko Haram attack in Borno

9 people were killed last night after members of Boko Haram attacked Pompomarri village in Borno state. The sect members stormed the village when the villagers were asleep and killed 9. Many were injured, while others fled the village.

Scott Disick starts family healing process by spending great time with his son

Scott Disick took his 5 year old child, Mason to Barnes & Noble in Calabasas, yesterday, where the child stacked up on toys. Scott and Mason then went for an early supper at Rosti Cafe. Although he’s been good and gone for as far back as month taking after his split with Kourtney Kardashian, Disick stayed in contact with his youngsters through FaceTime.

During a Q&A in the US yesterday. President Buhari was asked by a journalist how he intended to deal with issues in the Niger Delta, particularly Amnesty, bunkering and inclusive development, president Buhari said;

I think this is really fair.”….

“But by the constitutions, no state can be excluded from Government. So there is no way, even if I want to show gratitude to those constituencies that heavily  voted for me against those that didn’t even vote for me. They have the protection of the government and I have made an undertaking that I belong to everybody ,belong to nobody. If I cant clearly ensure or marginalize certain group because they didn’t vote for me then I am already contradicting myself and I am sure people will be too quick to pick that”

US geophysicists are forecasting a devastating earthquake may be in store for the Hayward Fault, after a smaller temblor shook the area Tuesday night.

The Hayward Fault, spanning from San Pablo Bay to Fremont in California’s San Francisco Bay Area, is now expected to produce a major earthquake, scientists from the US Geological Survey claim. A relatively minor 4.0-magnitude quake rattled the city of Fremont Tuesday night.

ISIL, Boko Haram Use Drugs as Analogue of Gold – Russian Official

Militant groups like the Islamic State and Boko Haram use drugs as an analogue of gold and currency reserves, Director of the Federal Drug Control Service (FDCS) of Russia Viktor Ivanov said Thursday.

 – Nn the sidelines of the Moscow-African Anti-Drug Dialogue conference, Ivanov said:

“Drugs play the role of gold and currency reserves for quasi-state groups.”

ISIL and Boko Haram have been using revenues from criminal activities to create state-like organizations on occupied territories.

Okada riders protest in Akure (photos)

Happening right now in the City of Akure, Ondo State. Motorcycle riders popularly known as Okada are protesting right in front of the Governor's Office saying Governor Mimiko imposed on them to pay N6000 for commercial number plates and anyone who defaults will face the wrath of the law and their Okada will be seized and taken to the office of the Task Force put in place by the Mimiko.
