Osinbajo Slams EFCC Over Low Graft Convictions
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Wednesday lamented the delay in court processes which often get high profile corruption cases stalled.
He said the development had left the various anti-corruption agencies only able to secure seven convictions in such high profile cases since 1999, a figure which he said was too insignificant.
Osinbajo was represented by the Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee against Corruption, Prof. Itse Sagay (SAN), at a sensitisation workshop on sections 306 and 396 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015 and delay of high profile corruption cases in Nigeria.
Sections 306 of the ACJ Act prohibit courts from granting order of stay of proceedings with respect to criminal trial while section 392 of the Act also stipulates that preliminary objection to a charge would only be considered with the substantive case and a ruling delivered on it at the time of the delivery of the judgment in the case.

10 of Top 10 Signs US Politics Is Completely Screwed (Paranoia Is Going Mainstream)
10) Paranoia Is Going Mainstream
In summer 2015, the military embarked on Jade Helm 15, a multistate training exercise that became a magnet for fringe beliefs. Some thought it marked the beginning of a violent federal power grab. Reports showed that anywhere between one-third and one-half of all Texans thought Jade Helm was a federal plot to take over the state. This might be funny if it weren’t for the potentially serious consequences. In mid-July 2015, the FBI arrested three men who had amassed a military-sized stockpile of weapons for killing Jade Helm trainees. Reports indicated that they were driven to action by conspiracy theories about the training exercise.
9 of Top 10 Signs US Politics Is Completely Screwed (Rhetoric Is Turning Toxic)
When facts no longer mean anything, it’s easy for rhetoric to turn toxic. Most recently, this has been happening with Syrian refugees. Ben Carson has publicly compared those fleeing ISIS to rabid dogs. Trump has called for all Syrians to be monitored or deported and for Muslims to be banned from entering the US entirely. Multiple governors have banned refugees from their states. There is doubtless a good debate to be had about America’s refugee policy. This is not that good debate. When mainstream rhetoric turns violent, violence usually follows. That’s why the UN spoke out after British columnist Katie Hopkins called migrants “cockroaches.”
46 of Top 50 things every Woman needs to know about S3x
46. Kids kill your s3x life. But you can wrestle it back again once they’re hit age two.
47. If you can talk though your s3x problems you can nearly always solve them.
48. Don’t try to put yourself in a box. Women are far more erotically plastic than men and much more likely to be aroused by the person, rather than their gender.
49. If you’re feeling bad after s3x you’re sleeping with the wrong person.
50.S3x is about give and take. You don’t have to reciprocate in the same session but if you’re constantly lying back and taking, you’re a selfish lover. Not s3xy. Not lovable.
41 of Top 50 things every Woman needs to know about S3x
41. Refuse to feel guilty about your fantasies. What you get up to in your imagination is your business.
42. S3x is smelly, noisy, sweaty and unflattering. Leave your ego at the door and replace it with your sense of humour. If you haven’t broken wind at the worst possible moment, you’re probably playing it too safe.
43. The more you have s3x, the more you want s3x. Stop having it and you’ll forget how good it feels.
44. Think before you share your s3xual fantasies. Make it clear what you’re doing it or you may come home to a ‘surprise’ you definitely didn’t expect.
45. It’s OK to stop having s3x from time to time.
Sometimes life is too stressful (work worries, death of a parent) or children too demanding. Taking a s3x break takes the pressure off and stops either of you freaking out because you know it’s not permanent.

Buhari Needs To Borrow ₦50trn & Develop Nigeria ‘Overnight’, Says Ben Bruce.
Ben Murray-Bruce, a senator from Bayelsa state and proprietor of Silverbird Entertainment, has prompted President Muhammadu not to jump when borrowingif the procedure will prompt the development of Nigeria “overnight”. Murray-Bruce, who was making his contribution to the open debate on Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF), on Wednesday, contended that Nigeria’s “piecemeal” borrowing would not achieve the required development.
He encouraged the legislature to acquire any amount of cash to develop Nigeria quickly.
After the debate on the framework, Senate President Bukola Saraki referred it to the committees on finance and appropriations, and directed them to submit their report next Tuesday. Meanwhile, the senate confirmed the appointment of Babatunde Fowler as chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).
