Mohammed Babandede Decorated As Immigration Comptroller-General

Following President Buhari's approval of his appointment as the new acting Comptroller General of Immigration, ‎Mohammed Babandede was decorated today May 25th by the Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau.

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Alh. Yakubu Ibn Muhammed as the new DG of Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) Yakubu Mohammed joined the services of the NTA Jos in 1977 as Current Affairs Producer. He later held various senior management positions, among which were Controller News and Current Affairs, NTA, Jos; General Manager, NTA Bauchi; Director of News, NTA headquarters; and Executive Director Special Services, NTA headquarters, before his retirement in 2012. He was born on November 11,1953, and attended the Ahmadu Bello University and has a degree in Social Sciences. Mohammed is married with four children and currently serves as the Special Adviser to Governor Muhammad Abdullahi Abubakar of Bauchi State on Media and Communications.

State Delegates Visit Scene Of Boko Haram Attack At Jere L.G In Borno. Photos


Not less than five communities of Ladin Buta near Khaddamari village of Jere Local Government Area of Borno state were attacked by suspected members of dreaded Boko Haram sect who meted horror on the villagers. According to reports, the terrorists invaded the communities around 7pm on Tuesday and set ablaze many houses after killing scores of residents and wounding many others. Some of the deceased have been laid to rest according to Islamic rites. Meanwhile, the Deputy Governor of Borno State Hon Usman Durkwa who represented governor Kashim Shettima visited, sympathized and commiserated with the victims of the gruesome attack at Jere Local Government Area of Borno State.

Putin’s poisoned gift to the Ukraine (first impressions – not an “analysis”)

As most commentators had predicted, Putin has agreed to exchange Nadezhda Savchenko for 2 Russians citizens accused by the Junta of being terrorists.  To be honest, I am deeply disgusted by the fact that this rabid Nazi was allowed to walk free.  Of course, I understand that IF the two Russians captured by the Ukies were really any kind of intelligence officers, Putin just had to obtain their release.

Buhari Appoints Ja’afaru As Comptroller-general Of Prisons

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Mr Ahmed Ja’afaru to take over from Dr Peter Ekpendu as the new Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Prisons Service, NPS. This is contained in a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Interior, Mr Bassey Akpanyung, and issued on Tuesday. The new Prison boss was, until his appointment, an Assistant Controller General of Prisons and was serving at the Prisons Headquarters in Abuja. According to the statement which was made available to newsmen, Ja’afaru replaces Ekpendu who retired from service on May 17, 2016 after his mandatory 35 years in service. Ja’afaru’s appointment took effect from May 17, 2016, same day that Ekpendu retired from service.

The Russian company Kalashnikov offered a new rifle to the Presidential Security Service and the FSB. Kalashnikov Concern, the largest arms manufacturer in Russia, designed a new "adaptive" rifle for the Presidential Security Service and the Federal Security Service (FSB).

The new rifle known as the AK-400 can be equipped with a scope of any type, a flashlight or a laser target marker. The rifle can also be adjusted depending on the shooter’s physiological parameters or the assigned task.

My Experience As A Corp Member In Benue State.


I remember the first time I saw my call up letter,I felt like the whole world had trembled on my feet. I felt sad and angry, ready to pour out my anger on anybody who came my way.
I remember not being serious about the whole camp thing anymore. I remember buying all my things a day before leaving.
At first,I was a bit confused on how I was going to get to the camp in Benue state. I remember going to the NYSC section on NL searching for corp members who were posted to the same state. Luckily for me, I found a bunch of then and I was added to a whatsapp group which was created by one of the monikers.
