Clinton and Trump: The Known And The Unknown

by Ghassan Kadi

My American friend Roger is a staunch Democrat supporter. He is in his seventies and has always voted Democrat.

Him and I have had countless discussions over the many years that we have known each other. His paternal roots are Arabic and he sees himself to be on the “left” side of politics, anti-Israel lobby, anti-Empire, but of late, him and I have not been able to see eye-to-eye on the Trump-Clinton race to the Whitehouse issue.

Making sense of the Russian naval task force off the coast of Syria

The AngloZionst Empire’s propaganda machine, otherwise known as the corporate media, has had great difficulties deciding what it should say about the Russian naval task force which has been sent to Syria.   The Americans have decided to express their usual contempt for anything Russian and describe this force as centered on the “geriatric” aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov, while the Brits chose to describe it as a formidable “armada” about to completely obliterate the moderate terrorists in Syria.

Thus Philippines President Rodrigo «The Punisher» Duterte unleashed a geopolitical earthquake encompassing Eurasia and reverberating all across the Pacific Ocean.
And talk about choosing his venue with aplomb; right in the heart of the Rising Dragon, no less.

By Aram Mirzaei
For 18 months now, Yemen has been embroiled in a devastating conflict that has killed at least 10 000 people according to official sources, that number is however probably far higher. The Yemeni conflict is characterized by the asymmetric ways it’s being fought on the battlefield and by the massive amount of suffering for the civilian population in the impoverished country.

Questions about “Babushka security” and tons of answers, all of them wrong

I just watched a video for a neighbor of Motorola who explains that Motorola had no real protection, that it was easy to enter his building, that it was easy to enter into the elevator shaft and place a bomb there.  As for using a remotely controlled device, it was easy to build even for amateurs.  Bottom line: even poorly trained amateurs could have killed Motorola.

The USA are about to face the worst crisis of their history and how Putin’s example might inspire Trump

Watching the last Presidential debate was a rather depressing experience.  I thought that Trump did pretty well, but that really is not the point here.  The point is this: no matter who wins, an acute crisis is inevitable.

“Vatnik” – to the Ukrainians. Why would we liberate YOU?

Note: “vatnik” is a derogatory term used in today’s Ukraine to describe people in Donbass and other South-Eastern regions as well as anybody supportive of the ‘Russian World”. The word ‘vatnik” means an overcoat padded with cotton (“vata”) habitually worn by agriculture and construction workers in early and mid Soviet times. It is quite warm but hardly fashionable. The reference is to the supposedly primitive nature of the people that would wear such a garment. People of Novorossia are now proudly call themselves “vatniks” as do many Russians.  In this case, ‘Vatnik’ is also the callsign of Sergei Vasilevskii, a well-known military expert, author, journalist and member of the military intelligence service of the LNR.

The Murder of Motorola – questions which must be answered

Small caveat first:
I will be honest here, I am extremely uncomfortable with this topic and I greatly hesitated before addressing it here.  As I have said it many many times before, there is a US-manipulated crowd of what I call “hurray patriots” which will use anything and everything to blame it all on Putin (just like their US controllers do, of course).  So when Putin (or Russia) does something wrong or inept, there is a great real of risk of “adding water to their mill”.

Why Hillary Clinton is a bigger concern for China than Donald Trump

by Pepe Escobar for The South China Morning Post
So you think Donald Trump is the biggest threat to world peace? And Barack Obama engineered America’s “pivot to Asia”?
It was actually Hillary Clinton, emphasising the necessity of a “strategic turn” for the United States, who launched the pivot to Asia in an October 2011 article titled “America’s Pacific Century”. The tone was martial: “Our military is by far the strongest and our economy is by far the largest.” The South China Sea duly featured: “Half the world’s merchant tonnage flows through this water”. Informed observers didn’t need a manual to spot Clinton’s subtle cue alerting them to the danger of China’s “nine-dashed line”.

On The Verge Of A Major War: Is There A Pilot In The Cockpit?

Russia defends its European territory from US missiles by creating a naval base in Syria.

Written by Nikolay Nikolaev; Originally appeared at A-specto, translated by Valentina Tzoneva exclusively forSouthFront
In late August 2010, the citizens of the Syrian Arab Republic looked for salvation from the heat in the cool Mediterranean shores of the country, resting after another working day. An ominous event will turn into a terrible omen for the future of the prosperous Arab country whose health, education or social system would make many Eastern European countries jealous. The deputy head of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU) to the Russian Armed Forces, Yuri Ivanov, was found dead in the neighboring Turkish province of Hatay. Officially, the general was on a private visit to the country –having a holiday in the Syrian resort of Tartus, then heading to another Mediterranean port of Latakia. Unofficially, General Ivanov, who was visiting Syria with a diplomatic passport, was on a mission in Tartus, where the Russian military planned to deploy a complete naval base in 2011.
