Some Nigerian adults reason like kids in the kindergarten. No apologies because that is EXACTLY how they reason. Each time I berate the kindergarten president of NIGERIA for not doing his job as the commander-in-chief, you will see all sorts of foolish comments from Jonathan’s lovers. No one is saying you should not worship your hero, just do it with some smartness and common sense. One will ask, Abiyamo, should he carry guns and enter Sambisa? That is a very childish question and has no single atom of sense in it. Is Obama carrying guns to fight in the mountains of Afghanistan? Is Putin flying a jet fighter against Chechen Islamist rebels in Dagestan? Of course not. And no one is saying Jonathan should pilot an AC130 gunship that even Badeh cannot start its engines.
What I am saying is that as the commander-in-chief, you are xpected to inspire your troops. You are expected to ensure that their welfare is taken care of or how many times did you hear American soldiers or Russian commandos complaining of lack of payment of their salaries or shortage of weapons? That is because their commander-in-chief is doing his job. For every soldier that is killed or injured, Obama honors him or her as if there is no other soldier in the US army. They appreciate and HONOUR their soldiers so well that to join military go dey hungry you. Same with Russia. Same with Israel. It is the job of Jonathan to ask what happened to the security budget, why soldiers are always ambushed, visit the soldiers unexpectedly to raise their morale and ensure that their welfare is NEVER joked with. Boko Haram slaughtered an Air Force pilot and what did Jona say? NOTHING. As I am speaking with you, army veterans have not collected a penny of their pensions. Those killed by Boko Haram, their families have not received nothing from the government despite Jonathan’s fabulous promises and lies at the National Cemetery in Abuja WHEN those guys were being buried, he was represented by Sambo who lied on behalf of his Oga.
So when we say he is just too ineffective to command the troops, think well before you comment so that you will not look as dumb as the president you are supporting. Jonathan is definitely not man enough to be the C-in-C of a nation like Nigeria that is on the edge. Why is that so difficult for some people to understand, or who told you it is everyone that has innate qualities of courage or bravery or leadership? Why is it so difficult for some to realize that this guy is actually a very big mistake? That some men cannot just rule! By the way, when he was governor of Bayelsa, he collected more allocations than virtually all the states in Nigeria. Can someone tell us his achievements as Bayelsa governor?
