Ex- Super Eagles defender Taye Taiwo has asked for the sack of head coach Stephen Keshi.
Taye Taiwo, who now plays for Buraspor in Turkey, compared Keshi’s disappointment to meet all requirements for the African Nations Cup to Samson Siasia’s disappointment in 2012, noting that Siasia was sacked immediately after.
Everyone in Nigeria realizes that when Siasia did not qualify everyone from the media, the fans demanded that they need to sack him, so it is ordinary that when a coach does not meet all requirements for the Nations Cup or the World Cup he is not permitted to stay on, I am sad to say that; they need to sack him (Keshi),” Taiwo told Premium Times.
