Photos: 6 dead, over a 100 seriously injured as Typhoon Rocks Taiwan


No less than six people have been affirmed dead, four missing and more than sixty injured when Typhoon Soudelor hit Taiwan early at the beginning of today Saturday August eighth. Taiwan Power, the island's principle force organization, said 2.94 million family units are as of now without force. Several flights have been postponed or wiped out, as per Taiwan powers.
A large number of people were cleared as the storm drew approached and the island's military put a huge number of troops and a large number of vehicles on stand-by for rescue operations.
The storm made landfall early in the morning on the island's east-drift districts of Yilan and Hualien, raising to 1,000 mm (39 inches) of downpour in bumpy northeastern ranges and wind blasting up to 200 kph (124mph). Typhoon is set to cross the Taiwan Strait and hit the Chinese area of Fujian late today. A few photographs beneath...
