Read the statement below...
This is to humbly notify you on an unfortunate circumstance that occurred in a Local Government area. The rate at which sudden death is being caused by some unknown scrupulous elements in the country is highly unacceptable. Such is the unfortunate death and fate of a family man named: Joseph Ohioma Ogolowa; a retired headmaster in Obe Primary school, Sabongidda, Ora in Owan West LGA of Edo State.
He went to his Farm on the faithful Easter Monday 28th March, 2016. After several hours of expecting him, the family members dialed his mobile number and it was received by some unknown persons who spoke Hausa demanding #500,000 naira AIRTIME before any discussion.
The Family members find that outrageous and upon several hours of searching, his corpse was eventually found on his Farmland. Mr. Joseph until his death was the Head teacher of Eminent Private School, Sabongidda-ora, Owan West. He was an active member of the Catholic Church, Sabongidda and Secretary/Chairman of the Church & Teacher’s Meeting Association.
Efforts by the Family member to find justice has proven abortive as the case was reported to the Sabo Police station, Sabongidda-ora but no effort, investigation or meaningful steps has been taken on this case. The Policemen there are reluctant to assist in investigating the situation.
However, we do hope that concern and meaningful Nigerian will stand up against this gruesome murder of such a beloved, brother, uncle, father and respected man of God, though it is a shameful thing that such act is being perpetrated in the community/environs/LGA of the Insp. Gen. of Police. In addition, the Inspector General of Police, Governor of Edo State, and the Commissioner of Police for Edo State should take note and do something about this case so as not to create such an occurrence.
Of course, it could be swept away due to the poor family financial situation. Attached herewith are pictures of the deceased before and after. Warning Graphic!!!
Thanks in anticipation.
